Pendidikan untuk semua - jawaban kepada permasalahan sistem pendidikan negara!

My foot!

I went and read this news feed from BERNAMA - Abdullah Says Problems With Meritocracy System Can Be Discussed, and went angry, amuse, dazed, all at the same time! Mack, thanks for making my day today, with your thread at your blog!

I have been writing loads of posts on education, or rather the malaise of the Malaysian education system, such as this one! The one mentioned is actually a dare to the government, to provide education, free, to all Malaysian.

Meritocracy is a joke at its best. A what-not-to-do for any good government!

I am repeating my call for free education for all, from kindergarten, all the way to higher education. What will become of the graduates of the education system is secondary matter because Malaysia is part of the world, and graduates would be able to serve the whole humanities anywhere and not only to work their worth in Malaysia alone!

The problem with in-sufficient number of places for further and higher education can be solved immediately by providing more public education institution. The current problem of not being able to accomodate the numbers of people applying to the all the various institutions could be solved once and for all.

The key issue to the whole thing is whether the ruling institution of the day have the committment to provide the solution to the problem? I reckoned by the way how they are dragging their feet all these past years showed that they care none-the-less.

The way how I see it, the ruling government of the days seems to be contented in limiting the inteligence and individual competency of the Malaysian masses to ensure that the needy-not-too-competent Malaysian will remain indebted to the institution ruling them till eternity. They all know too well that competent Malaysian will try to exert their independence and would eventually rub this feeling to all and sundry while the non-partisant ones will go away earning their living in a more democratic nations elsewhere!

Wake-up Malaysian! Pressure your elected officials, and kick them up their as*es. Better still, elect a more caring electoral representatives in the next one to ensure a higher check and balance in parliament.

ps: One more nagging thing is the fluorishing of private higher and further education institutitons in the country is a sign that the businessman are trying to make money at the expense of the educational development of all Malaysian. Who are these businessmen partner in crime? The same unscrupulous elected officals of the day! Da*n them!
